Qixianling National Forest Park is located in the northeast of Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan Province, with an area of about 22 square kilometers. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The scenic area includes two parts: hot spring area and forest area, mainly divided into three tourist areas: national park experience tour, tropical rainforest hunting tour and adventure climbing tour. It is a natural kingdom of animals and plants with strange peaks, hot springs and rainforests.
Plant and Animal Resources
Qixianling is one of the best-preserved tropical rainforests in Hainan Island. More than 500 species of rare plants have been discovered, including the Alsophila spinulosa, Bird’s Nest Fern, and Strychnos nux vomica from the dinosaur era. The park also has rare and precious trees in China, such as Rosewood, Mother-born, Zijing, Polei, Oil-bearing Phoebe, and Pinus lunula. There are more than 500 species of wild animals, including Hainan Gibbon, Giant Civet, Golden Turtle, Monitor Lizard, Dead Leaf Butterfly, etc.

Qixianling Hot Spring is the only hot spring in China that has a magical combination of wild stream hot springs and tropical rainforests. There are seven fountains in the hot spring area, with a daily water output of more than 7,000 tons and a maximum water temperature of 97 degrees Celsius. The water is rich in a variety of minerals and trace elements. The most fascinating places in the hot spring area are the hot spring lake and Shina Creek, which is formed by the confluence of two streams, one cold and one hot.
