  • Bala Village: Located at an altitude of 2,900 meters, nestled on the mountainside of Gezong Snow Mountain, about 700 meters above the Gangqu River Valley. Explore the Tibetan village architecture, visit the ancestral home of Sna Dingzhu, learn about the history of the area’s pathways, and experience the local lifestyle.
  • ⛰️ Shambhala Pagoda: At an altitude of 4,050 meters, you can take a bus from Bala Village to the Shambhala Pagoda. The first bus currently departs at 12:30 PM, with a fare of 75 RMB per person. The one-way journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Visitors can enjoy an hour at the pagoda, with the total round trip taking around 2.5 hours. The return trip ends at the Echo Wall.
  • ⛰️ Echo Wall: Shout loudly towards the cliff, and hear your voice reflected back by the stone wall. Walk along the 1,106-meter-long plank road with a vertical drop of 700 meters to reach the glass viewing platform, where you can overlook the entire Shangri-La Grand Canyon. For the return journey, you can either hike back or take a cable car.
  • ⛰️ Shangri-La Grand Canyon: Situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters, the outward journey involves a 2.5-kilometer hike, offering stunning views of the shimmering waters and scenic mountains along the Gangqu River. For the return trip, you can choose between hiking back or rafting down the river.
