Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge
Tiger Leaping Gorge is a canyon with a large drop in the world. It is located in the east of Tiger Leaping Gorge Town, Shangri-La County. It is divided into upper, middle and lower Tiger Leaping sections, with a total length of about 20 kilometers. The Jinsha River rushes here, surrounded by two snow-capped mountains, Yulong and Haba. Tiger Leaping Gorge is famous for its strangeness, danger, majesty and grandeur. Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge
Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge is the upper section of Tiger Leaping Gorge, about 9 kilometers away from Tiger Leaping Gorge Town, and is the narrowest section of the entire Tiger Leaping Gorge. Among them, near the viewing platform, the width is only less than 30 meters. In the center of the river stands a huge triangular boulder, which divides the torrent into two, splashing snow-like waves and bursts of waves. Legend has it that a fierce tiger jumped from the side of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the side of Haba Snow Mountain by taking advantage of the huge rock in the middle of the river, so the stone got its name: Tiger Leaping Stone. Shanghutiao was developed earlier, and there is a plank road that can go down from the roadside to the riverside, and it takes 20 minutes for those with fast feet. Because the road is simple and easy, the distance is relatively short, and the difficulty is relatively low, some people jokingly call Shanghu Leaping “the activity center for the elderly”.
Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge
The middle tiger gorge is under the upper tiger gorge, about 8 kilometers away from the upper tiger jump viewing platform. The mouth of Zhonghu Leaping Gorge is slightly wider, and the river is relatively open, but there are many dangerous shoals. The river water runs through the reef area. Under the sunshine, it sparkles like stars shining all over the sky, so it is called: the sky is full of stars. Winding down along the “Teacher Zhang Trail”, the path is narrow and rugged, and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the riverside. The strange rocks on the riverside are rugged, the river is surging and rushing, splashing a piece of mist, and you can see a beautiful rainbow. There are two mountain roads back to the highway, namely the “108-level brave ladder” built by Mr. Zhang Inn and the “Tian Lai” road built by Tianti Inn. Winding up along the mountain road, climbing up the almost vertical ladder, using both hands and feet After returning to the road, everyone was sweating profusely. But looking back at the vast Jade Dragon Snow Mountain opposite, the rushing Jinsha River at your feet, and the ray of sky in the canyon in the distance, you will feel that all the hard work is worth it.
